Passengers travel between the Satellite Terminals and the Main Terminal
through underground tunnels.
The tunnels are intended to feel comfortable and not claustrophobic
like many existing such tunnels, and through a manipulation of the ground
plane, the space is opened up. The walking surface is raised above the
actual ground plane and the ceiling never visibly connects to the walls
so that the space seems much larger than it actually is.
Light is washed across the ceiling and up over the walls from hidden light
sources which further contributes to the spaciousness of the tunnel.

The center core allows baggage to be sent between the Main Terminal and
the Satellite Terminals but also prevents departing passengers from
seeing arriving passengers, for security reasons. Passengers can still
hear activity from the opposite tunnel and because the center core does
not extend to the ceiling, they can grasp an idea of the size of the
entire space. The feeling is of one large divided space as opposed to
two small independent spaces.
